Overview
Morphious™ C1 is a high-end contamination inspection and sorting system designed for
pellets and granules. It combines advanced machine vision,
stroboscopic LED illumination and proprietary dispersion technology to detect and classify
every visually detectable contamination in your samples.
The system is manufactured by Microptik B.V. and supplied by
Kreator Lab BG as an official representative. Morphious™ C1 is equally well suited for
quality control in the laboratory and on the production line. In factory
environments it can be connected to the process via a dedicated bypass system.
The device is extremely easy to understand and operate, yet it provides top-quality real-time data
about the presence of all visually detectable contaminations in the sample, such as:
- miscoloration
- mis-sizing
- surface defects
- wrong shape
- presence of foreign materials
The presence of such impurities can seriously impair product quality during further processing.
Morphious™ C1 helps to detect, quantify and, if required, actively remove these contaminants
from the product stream.
How it works
This state-of-the-art system is equipped with a high-resolution
USB 3.0 CMOS camera (2456 × 2054, 5.04 MPix, 36 fps, 2/3") and a sophisticated
stroboscopic LED illumination unit, allowing contaminations to be analyzed and displayed in the
best possible manner.
Microptik B.V. has developed a unique proprietary technology to disperse powders and granules
into a thin monolayer, enabling contamination analysis under optimal conditions. Each particle passes through
the inspection field, where it is illuminated and captured by the camera.
The Morphious™ C1 system can be extended to a full sorting system, capable of detecting every
contamination and shooting it out of the sample stream. For this purpose, an ultra-fast responding nozzle
manifold with dedicated electronics is used to remove unwanted particles from the product flow.
Morphious® software & AI
Being controlled by professional Morphious® software, extra-powered by AI, the C1 system can
deliver some of the most valuable and precise real-time data about contaminations present in your sample.

Intuitive user interface: the system is extremely easy to understand and operate,
allowing fast setup and routine use. -
User-defined recipes: the user can create recipes for each sample and application and define
all criteria that are useful in that particular case. -
Data storage and retrieval: all collected data are stored in databases and can be retrieved
in an easy and structured way for further analysis or reporting. -
Mosaics and histograms: the software shows specific mosaics of the contaminants and histograms
in accordance with the client’s specifications. -
Image capture of abnormal pieces: the system captures a photo of every abnormal piece of sample
and saves it in the database for further elucidation and documentation.

The Morphious™ C1 system is mostly suitable for the plastic industry, where
pellet and granule quality is critical. However, it can also be used in other fields whenever you need
top-quality information about visual contaminations present in samples with uniform granules in the
size range from 20 µm up to centimetres.
